2 pm - 4:30 pm. Crissy Field Center. Join Nursery Program staff for a lecture about our recent research on seed collection and anthropogenic climate change with UC Berkeley students and faculty. This event is appropriate for land managers, park staff, and interns who perform restoration and ecological activities. 1:00 pm- 4:45 pm. Alcatraz. Re-Shaping Identity on the Rock seeks to reflect on the ways that identity can be forced onto individuals by outside groups, or be self-defined from within. Walk around the island and learn about its lesser known historical occupants before ending with a visit to Future IDs, a special art exhibit made by formerly and currently incarcerated men and women. Educators are invited to join in.
