Young Salmon & Trout making a trip through Muir Woods!
This week Muir Woods will witness an unusual sight: Fish taking a trip down the Muir Woods trails! YES! Thanks to Conservancy and NPS crews young salmon and trout will be relocated out of the Redwood Renewal Salmon Enhancement project site deep in Muir Woods to pools nearby as the first on-site step of this year's work in Redwood Creek to enhance juvenile fish habitat.
After fish are moved, the creek will be de-watered in the work area and then rip rap boulders will be removed and buried, later this fall large woody debris will be placed in to the stream channel. There's even more aquatic news: More turtles will soon be making their home at Muir Beach's Big Lagoon!

1:00pm - 3pm Golden Gate Room, 2nd Floor, 201 Fort Mason
This weekend’s events in Dayton and El Paso have left many of us shocked and saddened. The Gilroy incident, just days before, had similarly affected many of us.
Claremont, our Employee Assistance Plan provider (EAP), will be sending a counselor to speak with staff in a group setting. He will also be available for two hours afterward. Refer in the following link to the material he will be speaking about in the first hour, “Coping with Trauma.”
If you or a member of your family has trouble coping, ask for help. Claremont EAP is an important resource for support and self-care. Call Claremont EAP at 800-834-3773 to access your free and confidential services.
