DEI Survey Findings
Last fall, staff and interns participated in a survey conducted by the Avarna Group, our consultants, to help determine where the Parks Conservancy stands with important Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) issues. Avarna also conducted interviews with departments across the organization. Today, we’re sharing the results from that work, which will be used to craft the Parks Conservancy’s DEI plan.
You can view Key Findings (available in English, Chinese, Spanish, and Tagalog) and the Avarna Summary Report at O:\Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee\_Avarna Group Report. Full reports also available in the same location.

Nominations for FY 2019 will be accepted until September 27, 2019.
The Golden Gate National Parks Bridge Award was established to recognize cooperative achievements between Golden Gate National Recreation Area and Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy staff that have strengthened the partnership between the two organizations, benefited the visitor experience or preserved our natural and cultural resources in a lasting and meaningful way.
This year we're looking for those "Hidden Gems" - people that embody this spirit but could be behind the scenes doing great work. Everyone who is nominated will be recognized at our Employee Appreciation Party!
Individual or team nominations can be submitted on the attached form to bridgeaward@parksconservancy.org And save the date for the Employee Appreciation Party on October 31 from 11:30am – 1:30pm.

Thank you to all who attended our many CalSAC trainings this past summer. We’re in the final stretch now! While these are our final CalSAC trainings for now, Victor, our Professional Development Program Manager, will be working with the new PD Lead Team to continue planning more learning opportunities for the park in the future. Check out our three remaining CalSAC trainings in the updated list below:
**We highly recommend signing up for these opportunities as soon as possible. If a training has less than five people signed up within two weeks of the training happening, we may need to reschedule the training to ensure we are serving the optimal amount of people. This also helps us better prepare the necessary materials, hospitality, and accommodations for the training.
If you have any questions please contact Victor at vsmall@parksconservancy.org
