Flexible Spending Account Open Enrollment
Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Open Enrollment for the 2020 plan year opens in ADP on Nov. 15 through Nov. 30, 2019. More detailed information on FSA will be emailed shortly. There are two different FSA's--Health Care and Dependent Care. A Health Care FSA lets you save 20% - 40% on expenses not covered by insurance, reduces income taxes, remburses an extensive list of eligible expenses and let's you fund your account with paycheck deductions. A Dependent Care FSA has similar beneifts; eligible expenses include care at licensed nursery school or child centers, care provided during your working hours, before and after-school care, day camps, and eldercare.

On Thanksgiving night, following football on NBC Bay Area, longtime park champion Doug McConnell will be presenting an hourlong special on the GGNRA and the Parks Conservancy! The time may change because of football but will likely be 10 p.m. Make sure you catch this special hour focused on park history and the future of our public lands.

Exciting things are happening at Crissy Field and the Presidio! Starting Dec. 2, Mason St. near the Crissy Field Center will be closed for six months to install culverts under the road, expanding Crissy Marsh and connecting it with the Tennessee Hollow watershed. Crissy Field Center will still be accessible from Mason St., please enter from the east. Details and maps at the link below.

Come share your thoughts on how we can best build a more inclusive community and culture at our organization. The Chats will be held at three locations–Marin, Alcatraz, and the Presidio–and co-hosted by members of the DEI Committee. DEI 101: Understanding Bias,” created and facilitated by the Avarna Group, provides training about basic ideas of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Sessions offered at Fort Mason, Alcatraz Island, and in Marin, through Dec. 12. All staff and interns must complete by end of the year. Sign up through portal or supervisor. Questions?
