You are invited to Golden Gate's 5th annual Diversity Makes Us Stronger month!
Attached and below are the detailed schedule of events for the month. The kick off celebration will take place this week from 1:30pm to 3pm on Tuesday February 4th at the General's Residence at Fort Mason featuring food, celebration and keynote remarks from José González, founder of Latino Outdoors. We hope to see you there!

Apply to be on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee for 2020-2022!
As the Parks Conservancy continues to intentionally build and create a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and safe workspace for all, the DE&I Committee is excited to announce several openings for new members for 2020-2022. While being on the Committee requires effort and time, we encourage those of you who are inspired to apply. We know there are many ways staff from across the organization can contribute to the DE&I efforts. You can nominate yourself or your staff! No previous experience necessary.

YOGA at GOGA is back! Free yoga class at Fort Mason & Fort Cronkhite
The GOGA Health and Wellness Committee is excited to bring three fitness classes to the park -- read on for more information about how to join in! All equipment will be provided - just come with loose, comfortable clothing (neither yoga nor pilates require shoes).
Tuesdays 12:00 - 12:50pm January 28 - Feb 25 Instructor: Morgan Smith Fort Mason 201 gym or Fort Mason Chapel (TBD). Add your name to the email list.

TRAININGS

The Parks Conservancy is working with The Avarna Group to provide staff training about basic ideas of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). In this half day “DEI 101” training you will learn about: diversity, equity, inclusion, power, privilege, bias, and more. You will be able to interact with other staff through activities in the training. The goal of this training and our work with the Avarna Group is to help ensure all staff feel welcomed, understood, and valued in our workplace.
The training will be offered from 1pm – 5pm on 2/25 at Fort Mason, on 2/26 from 9am – 1pm in the Headlands, and from 9am – 1pm (location TBD). Please sign up using the training portal.
