President & CEO Chris Lehnertz invites you to a special presentation by Arthur Cohen (of NY-based LaPlaca Cohen) on research about cultural consumers and how this research can be applied to parks and places. Staff from NPS, the Presidio Trust and One Tam partners are also invited. Come explore what culture can tell us about parks and how to keep them relevant. Wednesday March 5th, From 12:30 to 1:30 pm at Lower Fort Mason at the Southside Theater located in Building D.

Do you want to learn more about recruiting, hiring, and supporting new staff? Do you want to work towards a more equitable and inclusive park community? This workshops aims to give you the tools to do both!
With a mix of individual, group, and partner activities, this workshop encourages participants to:
- Reflect on personal experiences of being a job seeker and/or being on a hiring team
- Explore current statistics and research on workplace demographics and culture, including pay gaps and long-term trends
- Identify aspects of a hiring process that commonly introduce intentional bias, especially in regards to gender, race, and socioeconomic status
- Practice strategies to help a wide range of applicants apply and navigate a hiring process more comfortably
- Discuss their hiring processes with other participants and the facilitators
- Create or revise their own hiring materials
