Stephen Dobrow has been announced as the Conservancy’s new Financial Advisor for our 403(b) Plan Participants. Stephen’s biography is attached. For those of you who have been advised by Jennifer Butters, Stephen will be your new contact.

Stephen will be conducting individual consultations in the HR Niche, 3rd floor of Building 201, Fort Mason, on April 16, 2020. He will be available for 15 minute Retirement Account Reviews. Feel free schedule an appointment if you’d like to open a 403(b) Retirement Account too!

Do you want to learn more about recruiting, hiring, and supporting new staff? Do you want to work towards a more equitable and inclusive park community? This workshops aims to give you the tools to do both!

 With a mix of individual, group, and partner activities, this workshop encourages participants to:

• Reflect on personal experiences of being a job seeker and/or being on a hiring team
• Explore current statistics and research on workplace demographics and culture, including pay gaps and long-term trends
• Identify aspects of a hiring process that commonly introduce intentional bias, especially in regards to gender, race, and socioeconomic status
• Practice strategies to help a wide range of applicants apply and navigate a hiring process more comfortably
• Discuss their hiring processes with other participants and the facilitators
• Create or revise their own hiring materials

Park Academy will be offering the following new trainings to all staff and interns.

Through the end of the month: All public trainings are cancelled, we are assessing internal Park Academy Trainings on a case by case basis, if we can arrange for the class to be hosted over zoom, the class will still happen; if not, we will cancel it. All registrants will be contacted when a class is cancelled.

Park Youth Collaborative will be offering the following new trainings to all staff and interns.  Due to the cancellation of various school districts in reaction to the spread of the coronavirus, PYC will offer the previously scheduled trainings in online formats through April 10th.
