All staff will need to attend a mandatory New Portal Onboarding Training in order to get a new account. The trainings will be held between May 26th-June 3rd. Please view a full list of dates and register here.
The new Training Portal will support online learning, including scheduled (live) and on-demand content. The portal will include trainings hosted through Park Academy, Human Resources, and Park Youth Collaborative, as well as offerings from our park partners and more.

Governor Gavin Newsom has appointed Katherine Toy, EVP of Partnerships and Programs, to the State Park and Recreation Commission. The Commission helps guide California’s park system. Congratulations, Katherine!

Benefit Open Enrollment is coming June 1 to June 15, 2020!
Keep an eye out for the Open Enrollment Memo, which includes an Online Benefits Presentation and new Benefits Guide. Instructions on steps benefit-eligible employees need to take will be included in the memo.

Summer Stride is live now on SFPL.org and officially kicks off on June 5th with the first The Nature Boost Friday -- a live, online reading and Q&A of this year's featured book, "The Hike", by the author and illustrator Alison Farrell.
This Summer's StoryWalk's include three in our national parks (Land’s End, Mountain Lake and Presidio Promenade), as well as other fun, virtual activities. Congrats to all the staff and partners who worked so hard on making this partnership a reality!

75 years ago, the first ever conference of the United Nations took place in San Francisco.
This short video is the second of three to honor this important moment in history.
The local chapter of the United Nations Association, in partnership with neighboring UNA chapters and the National Parks Service, is creating this video series in place of the traditional visit to Muir Woods.

The NPS DEI Committee invites you to join us vitrtually on May 27 to celebrate and support our Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month and our Asian and Pacific Islander colleagues who work with NPS, Conservancy, and Park Partners.
This event will use historic events in the Bay Area as a backdrop to discuss current events and the resurgence of Anti-Asian sentiment. The panel will include your colleagues from NPS and Conservancy, discuss the challenges they face, and suggestions about how to support ourselves and others during difficult times.

In this course, you’ll learn about the science of toxic stress, adverse childhood experiences, potential triggers in your park, and how to use a trauma-informed approach when leading park programs.
