The Data Team is excited to launch departmental group chats! This new function allows users to easily communicate with everyone in their department in one shared online space.
There is a SharePoint page that will keep you up-to-date on which departments have group chats implemented. It also links to Chats tutorial and the presentation from the All Staff meeting, "Teams Channel Annoucement." Reach out to Jessica jkurosaka@parksconservancy.org or Gary at gli@parksconservancy.org if you have questions.

We want your perspective! An important part of the Parks Conservancy's strategic sprint process is to hear staff perspectives--through your responses to this survey, and, over the weeks ahead, through focus groups. With this survey, we hope you will think about what’s happening around us – both the opportunities and the challenges.
Please complete the survey by end of day, Friday, August 14. Reach out to Camey at cyeh@parksconservancy.org with any questions or troubleshooting issues.

The Sierra Club recently distanced itself from the racist beliefs held by John Muir and others in his circle. So, what about Muir Woods National Monument? We have long wrestled with a complicated history there.

Peregrine falcons, the fastest animals in the world, were removed from the endangered species list in 1999 in a major conservation success story. Now, a peregrine pair on Alcatraz has done something we haven’t seen in recorded history.

Wed., August 12, from 1:00 – 2:30pm
This circle is a space for white-identifying staff to explore the implications of white culture and privilege and focus on tangible actions to dismantle this power dynamic.
To prepare for this week's circle, please watch both of these videos: Power, Privilege & Oppression and Sometimes you’re a Caterpillar. These videos will help frame and guide the discussion we hope to have around power, privilege, and oppression.
