Airbnb Open Homes is connecting people impacted by disasters with hosts who are offering a free place to stay. If you’ve been impacted by the fires, you may be able to book a free place to stay between Aug. 20 to Sept. 10.

This resources list from Claremont EAP, our employee assistance program, includes information you can use to gather supplies, plot evacuation routes, and prepare your loved ones for the emotional hardships emergencies can create. Panelists will put into context the current circumstances of our modern times in which Black Americans are statistically the least likely of all racial or ethnic groups to visit our national parks and discuss root causes and solutions.

Using Hollaback!’s Observe-Breathe-Connect methodology, we’ll learn how to identify potential conflict before it escalates using our “pyramid of escalation” and how to assess whether de-escalation is the right action, and how to connect with others by validating and de-escalating their feelings. We’ll have time at the end to practice using real-life scenarios.

The Allies for Inclusion Team, in collaboration with the GGNRA Green Team & the Parks Conservancy, invite you to a two-hour dialogue on "Environmental Allies: A Conversation about Equity and Environmentalism." This will be a virtual program.
