Parks Conservancy staff are invited to submit their photos for a chance to be featured in a Presidio Tunnel Tops Photo Show coming to the Presidio this summer. The photo can be from any park, anywhere, as long as it captures the joy of being outside. Email to commons@parksconservancy.org by end of day on Friday, March 12.

Parks Conservancy teams worked hard to reopen Lands End Lookout for door-only service last Friday. In-store shopping is expected in April. Opening hours will reflect peak visitation times–Fridays through Mondays only. We are actively working with our NPS partners, who expect Alcatraz Island and Fort Point National Historic site to open in mid-March.

Yesterday was International Women's Day! On the Conservancy's Instagram channel, we highlighted a few amazing female-identifying scientists who are leaders and advocates in the important work of stewarding our parks.

We especially want to highlight trainings led by fellow Conservancy staff and colleagues at the NPS and also those hosted by Claremont EAP, which is offering some great coffee/lunch-time seminars over the next few weeks.

Thurs., 3/11 from 9 AM-Noon
Join the Conservancy and NPS GOGA staff to learn about the unique process for applying for a Federal job. You will learn how to navigate the USA Jobs website, complete your application, and create an effective Federal resume. Time will be allotted for Q&A and participants will have to opportunity to workshop their resume with NPS GOGA staff. Training timing: 9 am-11 am: basics of the application process, tips, and Q&A. 11am-12 pm: Resume workshop with NPS GOGA staff.

The Women's Outdoor Summit is for women of the outdoor industry to connect and learn from one another.
This FREE virtual summit is from 3/11-3/13 will be geared towards cis and trans women, as well as people who experience gender discrimination in their outdoor professional and personal lives. We welcome all people who are comfortable in a space that centers the experiences of women.

The GGNRA's neighbors at San Francisco Maritime National Park Association will premier a short documentary film about SF’s iconic Aquatic Park Bathhouse building and its treasured murals completed during the Great Depression. The film screening will include a Q&A with director John Rogers.
The premier is open and free to the public (donations appreciated!) due to the generosity of the event’s sponsors, Leslie and Troy Daniels, who also are Parks Conservancy supporters. Registration is required.

Join NPS Ranger Stephanie to learn about the achievements of women in STEM and how their work impacts our understanding, management, and recreation in Muir Woods and other GOGA sites. Explore different avenues to tell women's history, see how rangers are incorporating these narratives into park stories, and appreciate the incredible contributions women have made to GOGA's history.

Join Bay Nature and our very own Lisette Arellano, Community Science Program Manager at One Tam, in conversation with Mary Ellen Hannibal, science journalist and author of "Citizen Science: Searching for Heroes and Hope in the Age of Extinction."
Mary Ellen will lead a conversation on the connection between individual action and larger action—regional, continental, and global—and how One Tam's efforts fit into a broader regional and state-wide picture.
