Staff Survey Reminder
The Board of Trustees wants your input as they embark on the search for the Parks Conservancy's new President and CEO. The search firm Russell Reynolds Associates has created an online survey to gain feedback. The link was sent to staff at their @parksconservancy.org email address last week. We hope you'll share your opinions! The survey will be available until 5 p.m., Fri., April 13.

Welcome to Week 2 of the GOGA Earth Month Staff Challenge! The actions in Week 2 focuses on “Closing the Loop” by making sustainable consumption choices and maximizing waste diversion. Project WISE – a partnership between the Crissy Field Center, Mission High School, and Galileo Academy of Science and Technology – invites you to the 17th Annual Environmental Science Symposium. Students from AP Environmental Science classes will present their research projects on environmental issues. Help spread the word, and invite anyone who might be interested. Hope to see you there! 4-6 pm. Crissy Field Center. The PYC DEI film series presents "The New Environmentalists," short films about winners of the Goldman Environmental prize. In celebration of Earth Month, let’s get together and watch grassroots environmental heroes from around the world make incredible changes in their communities. Tri-agency staff and interns welcome. April 28: National Park Rx Day
11am - 3 pm. George "Rocky" Graham Park, Marin City. The Parks Conservancy and HPHP Bay Area partners are celebrating National Park Rx Day this year in Marin City. Family-friendly fun will include art, yoga, boxing, swag, informational booths and more. Come on out and show your support.

April 11 and 12: Park Orientation Tour
8:45 am - 5 pm. This awesome tour is super fun and engaging. It's an ideal way for new staff and interns to get acquainted with the incredible work being done all over the parks! The tour spans two full days. The first day explores parks south of the Golden Gate Bridge, and the second day explores the northern parks. Though not required, it is highly recommend to attend both days. Register for Day 1 and Day 2.

12 - 3 pm. Fort Funston. Learn the secrets of cloning plants by cutting off branches and encouraging them to root! Meghan Steinharter, Fort Funston and Oceana Nurseries Manager, and Robin Binaoro, Marin Headlands Nursery Assistant, will discuss the science behind clonal propagation: what's going on inside the plant and how rooting hormones work. There will also be a hands-on lab: sticking our own cuttings! Follow link to sign up.

1:30 - 5:00 pm. Crissy Field Center. Complex childhood trauma is often misunderstood, misdiagnosed, and treated as an afterthought in many settings. Educators will learn how trauma affects the developing brain and the lifelong issues associated with it, before discussing best practices for integrating a trauma-informed lens into education settings and programs.
