Open Enrollment is coming! The 2018 Benefits Open Enrollment period is June 4-15. Open Enrollment is your opportunity to make changes to your benefit plans. Please come to the All Staff Meeting on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 and Health Fairs to find out more!

The annual All Staff Meeting and Health Fairs is scheduled for Wednesday, May 23 at Fort Mason General’s Residence and on Thursday, June 7, 2018 on Alcatraz Island. This year’s benefits open enrollment period is June 4 – 15 so this will be your annual opportunity to review and choose benefits that best fit your needs. No action is required yet; we just want you to be aware of the enrollment dates for planning purposes. Please stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks!

June 1: VoiceOver TV show premiere & Celebration
1 - 2:45 pm. John Muir Elementary School. We hope you will join us for the VoiceOver TV show premiere and celebration. For the past four months, 5th grade students have explored indicators of a healthy community in the Mission, Fillmore, and Presidio. They used these firsthand experiences to help write research-based opinion essays that became the starting point for photography, stop-motion animation, music video, and cooking projects. 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. Crissy Field Center. The Wilderness First Aid (WFA) two day course will help you prepare for the unexpected. This fast paced, hands-on training is designed to meet the needs of trip leaders, camp staff, outdoor enthusiasts and individuals working in remote locations. You must sign-up for Day 1 AND Day 2 of the training for certification. No previous first aid training is required. This course may also be used to recertify WMI Wilderness First Responder and WMI Wilderness EMT (wilderness portion only) certifications. Join Alcatraz volunteer waterbird docent, Ros Johnson, as she discusses her bee observations and collections on Alcatraz over the last year. Although her expertise is in identifying Florida bees, she's brought her passion for the subject and skills to California.
