The Wellness Committee is looking for new members! We welcome any staff members who are interested in health and wellness. The group meets once a month. August 7: I-YEL's Yel Out Event
5:30 - 7:30 pm. Crissy Field Center. For the last seven months, eighteen high school interns have been working together to learn leadership skills in a national park. Come celebrate the Inspiring Young Emerging Leader’s program end and hear about the impact the I-YEL program has had on each youth! August 10: New Employee Orientation
10:30 am - noon. Fort Mason, Building 102, Conference Room. This orientation, hosted by President & CEO Greg Moore, is designed for new staff and gives an overview of the mission, history and work of the Parks Conservancy. 9 am - 11 am. Crissy Field Center. In this class you learn to make use of this camera to produce professional quality images. We will cover the essential photography techniques and how to capture imaginative and eye-catching photographs. This class will cover not only shooting great photos, but how to enhance them in the native iPhone app to make them “pop”. The class is led by Doc Miles (professional photographer and volunteer).

1 - 4:30 pm. Discuss and share strategic hiring practices that will benefit both the candidate and the hiring manager. Attendees will learn how to identify potential candidates, rewrite job descriptions, and more! All managers who hire are encouraged to attend. Other staff and interns are also welcome. 9 am - noon. Fort Mason. The HR team is presenting toolkit trainings for new and soon to become managers/supervisors. Gain insight into developing and refining effective skills such as performance management, recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, operations, and much more.
