Crissy Field Next aims to enhance the area’s many current uses while improving ways for people to gather, create, and play. 9 am - 5 pm: Those that are new to the parks' staff and internship programs will greatly benefit from this orientation tour that spans two days . Led by the knowledgeable Sue Gardner (Conservancy, Director of Park Stewardship), the first day will start off with a indoor introduction to our vast and beautiful parklands, followed by the start to the driving/walking tour of some of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area's highlight locations north of the Golden Gate Bridge. TRAININGS

Did you know there are free webinars available through Claremont EAP to help support you and your family members with life's concerns? This month's topic is "Legal and Financial Aspects of Eldercare." Being involved in the care of an aging loved one can be emotionally and financially taxing.The webinar will cover important issues and offer resources. Note: You will have to log-in to view the webinar and ask questions.

9 am - noon. Fort Mason. The HR team is presenting toolkit trainings for new and soon to become managers/supervisors. Gain insight into developing and refining effective skills such as performance management, recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, operations, and much more. To sign up for the managers' toolkit training class, please visit the Parks Conservancy training portal and register for the specific date.

9 am - 4 pm. The Adult First Aid/CPR/AED course teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies, such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies, and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for victims. Successful students will receive a certificate for Adult First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years. There will be a few breaks and a mandatory 30-minute lunch break. You must arrive on time and stay for the full training in order to be certified.

9:30 - 11 am. This training covers how to access, navigate, and enter volunteer data into Hand-On Connect (HOC). Attendees will receive HOC accounts at the training, allowing them to access the system and enter data for their volunteer programs. This training is intended for new interns and staff who need access to HOC or those who would like a refresher on the system. Some laptops will be provided for the training, but bringing a laptop (if available) is encouraged. The training will be led by Doug Santoro, HOC administrator & volunteer coordinator with the Parks Conservancy.
