We will be offering wellness sessions from the Claremont Employee Assistance Program every month. Sessions are open to any interested staff and cover topics such as how to prioritize, adapting to change, and mindfulness. They will be held at the Building 102 Conference Room at Fort Mason. It's that time of the year again! Parks Conservancy staff have an exclusive invite to the Columbia Sportswear Employee Store in Richmond, CA where you will get employee pricing on current season merchandise. For Conservancy SmugMug Users: We will be moving our web-based photo collection to a new platform in the next few months. In the meantime, we would like to invite feedback from staff who currently use this resource. Please fill out the short questionnaire to obtain the updated SmugMug password. 3 - 5:30 pm. Gathering Room, Crissy Field Center. The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committees from the Parks Conservancy and the Park Youth Collaborative are joining forces for our fall film series! Challenge your perspective and explore new worldviews through film. Join your colleagues for snacks, community and conversation after each DEI related film.

11:30 am - 1:30 pm. General's Residence, Fort Mason. Celebrate the good work done by all NPS and Parks Conservancy staff! Please join us for pizza, games, Bridge Awards, and a Halloween Costume Contest. Remember to bring your own cup or water bottle, as this will be a zero-waste event as well as your nametag. 10 am - 1 pm. Lands End. Celebrate Diwali, also known as the festival of lights, hope, joy, and happiness with volunteers and park staff. Prior experience with habitat restoration not necessary, just bring your enthusiasm for an afternoon of habitat restoration, fun activities, and delicious traditional snacks. Please register below.

1 pm - 3 pm. General's Residence, Fort Mason. NPS will kick off its annual Diversity Makes Us Stronger week! This year's theme is Untold Stories. It will be an opportunity for NPS and Conservancy staff to come together and learn about untold stories and issues impacting marginalized communities. All staff are welcomed and encouraged to attend as their schedule allows. Please click link below for location and times.

10:30 am - 12:00 pm. Building 102, Fort Mason. This orientation, hosted by President & CEO Greg Moore, is designed for new staff and gives an overview of the mission, history and work of the Parks Conservancy.  Any staff who would like to attend for a refresher are also welcome. 5 pm - 7 pm. Building 34, Fort Mason. Please join us for a celebration of our cultural diversity with food and drinks at Building 34 in Fort Mason! This is an annual potluck to provide thanks for our wonderful community within the Golden Gate National Parks. We encourage you to bring a dish that represents your culture, community or group you identify with, or simply something you’re interested in making! Please RSVP via the link below.
