Dates for 2019 All Staff Meetings
Thank you for coming to the All Staff Meeting last week! Please save the dates for two more All Staff Meetings: Thurs., June 6, from 10:30 am to 2 pm, at the General's Residence, Fort Mason (this includes the annual Benefits Health Fair); and Thurs., Oct. 17, from 10:30 am to noon, location TBA. DEI Committee Conference Scholarships
The Parks Conservancy DEI Committee is offering four scholarships for staff to attend the People of the Global Majority in Outdoors, Nature and Environment (PGM ONE) summit. The summit–held May 8 -10 in Philadelphia, PA–convenes emerging and established professionals of color who work in the environmental and outdoor movement. Learn more at www.pgmone.org. March 6: Park Day at Muir Woods
9 am - noon. Muir Woods. Park Day is still going ahead tomorrow at Muir Woods! We will be transplanting over 1,500 plants in time for the end of rainy season. Carpools leave Fort Mason at 8 am. Lunch will be provided. We look forward to seeing you there!

This month's feature is learning how to do things to make change easier through "Change Management." Major life changes affect all aspects of your life. Whether positive or negative, change can be difficult to adjust to. Note: You will have to log-in to view the webinar and ask questions.

9:30 am - 11:30 am. Crissy Field. This class will cover essential photography techniques, including how to capture, frame, and enhance photos in the native iPhone app and make them "pop." This class is led by Doc Miles (professional photographer and volunteer). Please register below.

9 am - noon. Presidio of San Francisco. Join native plant nursery managers Liz Ponzini and Meghan Steinharter to learn more about nursery management and the restoration cycle. The class will introduce participants to planning for collection and growing of native plants, including calculating amounts of seed to collect, pre-germination treatments, and after-care issues. 9 am - noon. This introductory GIS course will explore common data types, map projections, metadata, basic cartography and web mapping using ESRI's ArcGIS Desktop 10.6 program.
