Dates for 2019 All Staff Meetings
Thank you for coming to the All Staff Meeting last week! Please save the dates for two more All Staff Meetings: Thurs., June 6, from 10:30 am to 2 pm, at the General's Residence, Fort Mason (this includes the annual Benefits Health Fair); and Thurs., Oct. 17, from 10:30 am to noon, location TBA. DEI Committee Conference Scholarships
The Parks Conservancy DEI Committee is offering four scholarships for staff to attend the People of the Global Majority in Outdoors, Nature and Environment (PGM ONE) summit. The summit–held May 8 -10 in Philadelphia, PA–convenes emerging and established professionals of color who work in the environmental and outdoor movement. Learn more at www.pgmone.org. Did you know there are free webinars available through Claremont EAP to help support you and your family members with life's concerns? This month's feature is learning how to do things to make change easier through "Change Management." Major life changes affect all aspects of your life. Whether positive or negative, change can be difficult to adjust to. Note: You will have to log-in to view the webinar and ask questions.

1 pm - 4 pm. Come learn how endangered Mission Blue butterflies are monitored. Become familiar with the general life history and be introduced to different techniquest to monitor various life stages. Full address and directions will be sent to you by e-mail after you sign up.

8 am - 5 pm. The Wilderness First Aid (WFA) two day course will help you prepare for the unexpected. This fast paced, hands-on training is designed to meet the needs of trip leaders, camp staff, outdoor enthusiasts and individuals working in remote locations. You must sign-up for Day 1 AND Day 2 of the training for certification. No previous first aid training is required. This course may also be used to recertify WMI Wilderness First Responder and WMI Wilderness EMT (wilderness portion only) certifications.
