The special All Staff Meeting this Wed., April 17, will feature important leadership news affecting our organization. The Parks Conservancy's Board Chair, Colin Lind, will be joining us. The meeting will be from 2 to 3 pm at the Southside Theatre, in Lower Fort Mason, Landmark Building D.

Did you know there are free webinars available through Claremont EAP to help support you and your family members with life's concerns? This month's feature is learning how to approach clearing clutter and staying organized! Living with clutter can be exhausting and approaching it even more daunting. This webinar will offer specific, strategic ways to approach this task. Note: You will have to log-in to view the webinar and ask questions.

Noon - 1 pm. Fort Mason, Building 102, conference room. Please join this noontime wellness session on Assertive Speaking and Active Listening. The goal of the communication process is mutual understanding, which is no small feat. Learn how to navigate and maximize interactions with others through active listening and expression. 10 - 11:30 am. The Conservancy and NPS Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committees are hosting a bystander intervention training led by Shauna Farabaugh. The training will help participants identify how they can intervene in a potentially harmful situation. This training is for staff only–interns receive bystander intervention training as part of their mandatory anti-harassment training. **We anticipate this training will fill up and can schedule a second session this summer for those with conflicts.** Full address and directions will be sent by e-mail after you sign up.

1:30 - 3:30 pm. Crissy Field. Join National Park Service Ranger Fatima Colindres on a native plant identification walk on Crissy Field Marsh. Learn plants’ medicinal uses along your walk to the Crissy Field Center, where you'll enjoy tea time and enjoy fresh berry snacks. 1:00pm- 4:45pm, Alcatraz. Re-Shaping Identity on the Rock seeks to reflect on the ways that identity can be forced onto individuals by outside groups, or be self-defined from within. Walk around the island before ending with a visit to Future IDs, a special art exhibit made by formerly and currently incarcerated men and women. Highly recommended for educators working with students in 8th grade, high school and up!
